Introduction

This chapter shows statistics on marginalized groups or communities. The mandate of the department is to promote social protection and promotion of human right as well as empowering these groups.

General Community Development Issues
The Community Based services sector is one of the major sectors in the district and is composed of the following sectors;
• Probation Youth, Children and Social welfare
• Gender, Culture and Community Development
• Disability and Elderly. Currently in the district we are having about 3000 disable persons in the district of which
